MMA is--without a doubt--one of the most intense fighting styles on the planet. It's no wonder that people choose to learn MMA as a superior form of exercise and self-defense.
We begin with be basic premise that every fight begins on the feet and ends on the ground.
At the start of a fight, both fighters begin on their feet and use a combination of strikes, defensive maneuvers and wrestling techniques to get close to your opponent and take them to the ground.
Once the fight is on the ground, the fight continues as each fighter attempts to overpower the other using a combination of strikes and submissions. MMA fights generally end in one of three ways: KO, TKO or submission.
MMA classes are available only to FLO MMA members with experience in stand-up and ground fighting. (One month minimum training and instructor approval required.)
